Locked-in Series: Common Dimensional and Fitment Issues in Replacement of Motors 4/16 WEBINAR

April 16 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Do you know what to look for when it’s time to replace a failed AC motor? In this session we will look at some of the most commonly overlooked details when inquiring about a replacement motor.  We’ll also discuss tips to help you avoid additional unplanned downtime specific to motors.

Topics Include:

  • Nameplate information – what is and isn’t there and how pictures can help fill in the blanks;
  • How application constraints such as physical space or high ambient temperatures effect motor selection;
  • Reviewing an actual customer application that involves a DC to AC conversion, frame size differences, along with machine requirements.

Taught by: Jeff Llewellyn, an Automation Control Specialist at Rumsey focused in the areas of AC Motors, Power Transmission components, and the design & assembly of extruded aluminum products. Jeff joined Rumsey in 2015 after the acquisition of TECO and has 13+ years of experience in the Power Transmission industry.
