Locked-in Series: State Machine and Motion Control – Why it’s a MUST! 4/23 WEBINAR

April 23 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

In this session we will discuss the benefits adopting motion state programming, dealing specifically with Rockwell Automation integrated motion, but certainly applicable to other projects as well.

Specifically, we will cover:

  • How state machine programming can make your code easier to document
  • How adopting state machine programming can ease the troubleshooting process, especially from one engineer to another.
  • What the bits within the motion instructions mean and which ones are commonly used in specific scenarios.

Instructor: Mike Persing, a Drive Positioning Specialist at Rumsey Electric. With 20+ years of experience in factory automation Mike started out on the manufacturing floor, dealing with day to day issues of supporting and modifying equipment for improved productivity and reliability. He then progressed to engineering and designing machine controls from concept to commissioning, at a local pharmaceutical OEM. Mike’s love of working on cars and motorcycles, and his background in electrical engineering, has helped him excel in the merged world of electromechanical servo controls and associated components.
