Unlocking Machine Safety 6/30 WEBINAR

What’s new in Machine Safety products? We will show the Input / Logic / Output devices newly designed to achieve higher SIL/PL ratings for basic machine safety systems. Many of our customers are not familiar with the component selection and then wiring configuration needed to achieve Category 4 / PLe / SIL 3 safety system designs. We will review the new Allen-Bradley product options introduced to help simplify that layout.

Specifically, we will:

  • Demonstrate how newly designed solid-state, self-diagnostic safety Input devices help with overall system design in order to achieve a series rated cost effective Category 3 and 4 wiring structure.
  • Lay out the various safety Logic options in single function and configurable stand-alone relay along with the new Compact and Control GuardLogix PLC processors and IO.
  • Explain the importance of necessary redundant wiring for the varied safety Output devices including new info on Drives, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.

Following this webinar you should have a better understanding of the component wiring specifics needed for each section within your safety system.

Taught byJoe LoMonaco, Industrial Controls Specialist at Rumsey Electric. Joe is TUV Functional Safety Technician Certified and has spent 10+ years in the industrial machine safety industry.  This includes 5 years as an electrician and 5+ years supporting Allen-Bradley Control, Sensor, and Safety Applications.  He holds an Associate Degree in Electrical Construction.
