As a machine builder, what standards to I need to review?
Are Short-Circuit Current Ratings important to me? How do I know if I am compliant?
These questions are reviewed in Rockwell’s article: “The Importance of Short-Circuit Current Ratings.” Also included is a short one minute video explaining how to use Rockwell’s Global Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) selection tool for motor starters, soft starts and component drives.
This online tool provides coordinated, high-fault SCCR ratings for all power devices used in a circuit, helping save time and effort when finding and determining these ratings. The tool’s data can be based on either UL or IEC standards.
