Repair Management

You know having working automation equipment and spares is critical. Time to for you to stop worrying about it.

How do you make the time in the day to manage this critical component? It is quite a process - finding someone who is able to repair the item, getting cost estimates, packaging it up for shipping, tracking it to ensure it returns back to you, and testing it upon arrival.

Alternative No Thought Management

Rumsey Site Services can manage this vital process for you. We will come on-site, set up a “remanufacturing depot” location, arrange a consistent weekly, bi-weekly or monthly pick-up schedule and ensure your parts are returned back to you. From that point forward, we’ll also manage the warranty tracking for you.

In addition, since the quality of the repair is just as critical as managing the process through to completion, we partner with Rockwell Automation to not just repair your item, but actually have it remanufactured.

What is Remanufacturing?

Unlike other repair services, the process Rumsey has your automation equipment go through is a 7-Step remanufacturing process designed to restore your equipment to a like new operating condition for an extra assurance it will function reliably.

All remanufactured equipment also includes:

  • Installation of applicable updates/enhancements
  • Replacement of all failed components as well as all aged components
  • Parametric testing
  • Cleaning and cosmetic restoration
  • Testing

  • Receipt and Verification — Catalog numbers, series, and revision levels are verified and a bar code is applied for easy tracking of repair history and order status
  • Revisions and Enhancement — Your module is cleaned, inspected, and updated to the latest applicable hardware and copyrighted firmware revisions. This helps extend equipment life and ensure integration with newer products.
  • Component Verification/Replacement — Rockwell Automation Remanufacturing Services utilize a proactive and predictive maintenance approach. Suspect components are tested, verified and replaced with Rockwell Automation specified quality components if needed. Damaged components will be replaced by parts that have been pre-screened, burned-in, and specifically selected for Rockwell Automation.
  • Dynamic Functional Testing — Specially-trained technicians evaluate operational status using dedicated test equipment including parametric testing.
  • Environmental Testing — Dynamic environmental testing identifies intermittent problems not readily apparent, helping prevent premature failures in the future.
  • Final Quality Control Inspection — All equipment is cosmetically cleaned and visually inspected by Quality Control Inspectors for complete compliance to Rockwell Automation standards.
  • Secured Shipping— Modules are placed in custom-engineered anti-static bags or containers to help protect them against static discharge during shipment.
